Polk or Cerwin Vega?

To be more specific. . .

Hard rock & prog-rock, TV & movie viewing, fairly large room (say
15x30). No subwoofer planned at this time.

I'm currently pondering over the Polk RTi10 or Cerwin Vega CLSC-12.

And before anybody says to go listen to them before buying, please be
aware that I live in the middle of nowhere and have no opportunity to
do that.
