I didnt originate or write any of these joke-riddles, Murray. Im merely on the
same mailing list as you. Ditto for the other (Billboard) list of jokes about
Turner currently being circulated, which are ingeniously extrapolated from a
joke about him I told publicly, but without my permission or assistance.

If you dont mind me saying so, Murray, you shouldnt publish someone elses
letters.

5. has a sense of entitlement, i.e., unreasonable expectations of . . . .
automatic compliance with his or her expectations

If the originator of these serial amusements wanted to send his jokes
about the excressent Turner to newsgroups, he would have done so. Turner has
recently issued threats of physical violence and legal persecution against
anyone who dare criticize him, so you are exposing the humorist unnecessarily
to Turners vicious attacks on free speech.

At Kimberley there is the biggest open-cast diamond mine in the world. It is
indisputably the largest man-made hole in the world. Turner is also manmade,
by his mommy and daddy, and a major arsehole.

7. lacks empathy: is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings
and needs of others

Kimberley makes the lateral,
analogous connection. I think it rather amusing, but dont imagine that
everyone else will. One needs to have been a Rhodes Scholar, or to have gone
to Woolf Barnatos old school, or to know the Beits, fully to appreciate this
kind of insider joke. As such it is better kept sub rosa. (1)

1. has a grandiose sense of self-importance. . . .

2. is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited . . . . brilliance . . . .

3. believes that he or she is "special" and unique and can only be
understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people
(or institutions)

9. shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes

Andre Jute
(1) No humour is safe on newsgroups, which are in general inhabited by
humourless monomaniacs. The only humour which stands a chance of succeeding on
most newsgroups is lumpenproletariat lowest common denominator generic
crudities of the bananaskin type.

Any kind of humour which depends for its
appreciation on the recipient being well-read and well-traveled and capable of
making more than the most obvious connection is likely to be seen as offensive
by many on the net, who have chips on their shoulders quite as large as the
entire MDF factory Patrick Turner carries on his left shoulder. They will jerk
themselves up violently at any joke they dont understand, because they see
humour as an attack on their dignity and importance. Why waste a subtle joke
on them?

8. is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him
or her
