Thank you and thanks to all of the members of the newsgroup who voted
for me. We're running late so I will discard the rest of my speech and
get right to my selection (and it was an agonizing decision).

I choose prize No. 4

I'm very pleased and flattered to be given the bronze medal by my fellow
tubists! I'd be really happy with either Prize 1 or Prize 2, whatever Gregg
wants first (lovely poem Gregg - re-read it again, and it keeps its special
charm)

Congratulations, bud! Good show indeed.

Prize #2, the quad of 5B/110M's, is yours. Contact Rudy to arrange
delivery of your new output tubes!

Andy Evans has indicated that he would like either #1 or #2 as the prize
for his third-place win. Since Gregg has chosen #2, that means that the
pair of WE310A's goes to Andy.

Andy, drop me a line with your snail-mail addie and I'll get the tubes
fired off to you.

HEXT UP - Mr. Bob Hedberg! Bob, would you be so kind as to step up to
the stage?

Bob has the choice of the remaining prizes:

#3, Either a "Globe" tube paperweight in a green marble display base, or
a new 5R4GY ST-style rectifier, or a new 5U4GT rectifier, donated by Syl
in Canada.

#5, Two (2) E90CC dual triodes. Contributed by Mark Harriss in Australia.

#6, Two (2) new 5U4G rectifiers. Contributed by jim in the UK.

Hi all

Sorry, I'm now just finishing up a rebuilt computer. My old
motherboard decided to start writing it's own poetry on my system
drive. Dooooopp!
Now I'm back to AMD from Intel (which was AMD before that). 2500
tweaked to 2800, runs great for $92.

Anyway, I'm humbled by 4th place.

The #5, E90CC's look interesting. How about those?

Thanks
Bob Hedberg

Hi Bill,

Congratulations! [wild applause]

And you're most welcome, it's been a hoot.

The E90CC's are yours. It works out well, since Mark Harriss who donated
them is just next door to you (in a global sense). Contact Mark at
ningauble#bigpond.com (replacing # with @, of course) to give him your
shipping information.

AND THE LAST PRIZE -

Sixth prize winner is PATRICK BOUVYN, who wins the pair of 5U4G
equivalents donated by jim in the UK. Patrick, please contact jim at
jim#macsys50.freeserve.co.uk (replacing the # with @, of course). I
understand that jim has an excess of penis patches, perhaps he'll
include a few as a bonus. ;-)

AND FINALLY -

It really tough being admin and having to choose from the three entrants
tied for 5th place. I think it's only fair that GRANT, one of the three
entrants, should receive a prize also.

So, could you please send my your mailing addie, Grant? I'll send you a
"consolation prize" of one (1) new Russian 5U3c (5U4G equivalent).

AND THAT'S A WRAP!

It's been a lot of fun, thanks to everyone who contributed and took part
in the voting process.

The contest website will remain at
http://www3.telus.net/dogstarmusic/contest/index.htm
for awhile, but eventually I'll move it to my "Projects" site.

Next contest is up to someone else to organize. I'm taking a breather
from Things Tubical for awhile.

Cheers to all,
Fred

Hi Fred, everyone. Congratulations to you and the winners. It was a
great contest and thanks for the consolation prize!!
I've been quite swamped at the office and only got to see the results
today.
