Default QQV03/20A = CV2799 = 6252

Anyone EVER seen any audio schematics with this RF tube? Bel-Tubes UK
has one for 'customers'. Maybe i could do an OTL with a pile of them?
Thanks Pete

Any of those dual RF tetrodes make fine audio amplifiers. However, they
lend themselves better to traditional designs rather than OTL, because
of their relatively high anode resistance. For OTL, it's hard to beat
the 6080's, 6AS7's, 6336, etc. "regulator" tubes. Some of the
high-perveance horizontal output tubes (in triode mode) might be ok for
this also, e.g. 6KV6 / 17KV6 etc.

The most novel design I've seen for this kind of tube is Steve Bench's
"Matrix amplifier". http://members.aol.com/sbench101/ (Do a
search-in-page for "matrix")

I did up an interesting amp using TT15's (basically a smaller
oddly-pinned variant of the QQV03 types, but still an RF dual tetrode)
he http://www.dogstar.dantimax.dk/tubestuf/paraph.htm#tt42 . With
suitable component changes it should work with a wide range of such dual
tetrodes.

Cheers,
Fred
