Octal Crossover
Has anyone seen or built a crossover (pref. 3-way) using Octal tubes
like the 6SN7? Would like to build one, and would appreciate any input, experience or schematics. Thanks Ian |

Otherwise the original passive X-over in your speakers will sound much better. A speaker is just so much more complex as you would think ...... Ronald . If the original crossover is an advanced one with compensation networks matched to the speakers etc. then I agree with you. If the original crossover is a simple high pass/low pass type, then using an active crossover with the same crossover frequencies should be no problem. Best regards, Mikkel C. Simonsen |
