I have recently aquired two Altec 1567's which I would like to make into a
stereo line mixer. While I've read the specs in an old Altec catalog, which would be the best line input transformers for 600 Ohm balanced ins: 15095 or 15356? Any advice on what to use recapping? Has anyone designed any low noise mods? Any advice on how to insert L-C-R toggle switches or pan pots between the channel volume pots and the two summing busses? Will this be a phase nightmare? Am I crazy? Thanks, Kevin Kevin M. Kelly "There needs to be a 12-step program for us gearheads" |
