Does anyone know of some online web sites that would be useful to get info
on setting up a complete stereo ? For example, say I want to spend $500 on an audio setup, what is a good combo of items. Basically, I am looking for some links with ideas of complete setups for x dollars. Thanks for you time. |

Not a complete setup.......but sounddomain.com has a nice "wish list" feature where you can plan your install and the cost of it by adding the items that you are interested in. You will have to choose the items though. Browsing through the member pages of other users that have your vehicle might give you some ideas of where to start. As well as asking people on this NG. Dont expect someone to lay it out for you waht you need. The only person that can determine that is you. Even if you give someone a budget you still have to approve the purchase... Same in this situation. But check out sounddomain.com and ask specific, intelligent questions on this NG and you should get the help you need. Check out www.bcae1.com as well for the basics of car audio. EFFENDI |

The whole process of going to the stereo store is a bit intimidating for a
rookie, hence the original question. More pointed question then... Is it better to get a system with components from the same manufacturer, or go with best of breed kind of setup ?
