Shotgun mics for live Easter drama
Hi,
We're planning to use a good shotgun mic like the Sennheiser 416 for our Easter drama. This would be in addition to 7 wireless headsets for the main actors. The shotgun will be used to cover crowd comments, smaller roles, etc. Distance from the stage lip will be about 6-8 feet. Will this be a workable config? All help appreciated. Victor |

Recording? Acoutics? Speaker locations? Are you aware that there is a newsgroup chartered for sound reinforcement? news:alt.audio.pro.live-sound With no more information than you have provided, I wouldn't have very high expectations. |

Is the boom operator going to be listening to just the shotgun mike or is he going to have to listen to the whole feed? --scott -- "C'est un Nagra. C'est suisse, et tres, tres precis." |
