I am looking for advice. I burn books to CD to make my commute more
enjoyable. Recently I have encountered a problem I think is with the CDs. When I first start playing a CD after my pickup has sat for a while the CD plays fine. After about 20 to 30 minutes it will begin to sound scratchy and stop playing. I thought it was the OEM CD player and have replaced it but it continues. The only thing I have done differently with this batch of CDs is I have put a paper lable on them and used my ink jet printer. It does not seem to matter whether I am at the beginning or end of a CD. It appears to be more related to the length of time the CD has been playing. As an example I could be on track 6 when the scratchiness starts, get to work and shut off the truck. When I come back after work it will pick up where it left off but without the scratching. It will start again after a few minutes (20 to 30). Has anyone heard of the happening before and if you have do you have any solution? |
