What is the closest Firewire equivalent to the Lavry Mini PRS-2?
Can the PRS-2 take advantage of USB 2 or is it strictly USB 1.x?
If strictly USB 1, am I a fool in the age of USB 2 and Firewire to buy
this unit? Thx. T-L

If it'll work fine under USB 1.1, what's to worry about USB 2? What do
you need to do?

The only advantage of USB 2 is speed, which isn't necessary for a
44.1 kHz two-channel 16-bit single-directional audio interface.

I thought the speed of USB 2 would be desirable, but Mike Rivers
explained that this is not the case.
I want to record acoustic music: my own (as a one-man band) and that of
a small acoustic bluegrass/folk combo. The PRS-2 used with, say,
Tracktion on my iMac, looks like it will serve my modest needs. Thx for
help. T-L

USB 1.1 has plnety of bandwidth for your task. Go for it and enjoy.
