Default best buy question....i dont know what to do... Paul please read !!!! :D

best buy is haveing a free deck installation sale....which catches my
eye. If i get a deck installed there. And say 3 months later my car
doesnt start... i take it in to the dealership (under warranty 2003
chev cav), they determine the deck installation is the reason it isnt
working. GM then charges me for the labour time of figureing out the
problem. Will best buy pay me that money back??? Or am i just
****ed???

I want to goto the "best" car audio shop in the city....they do
everything, even installation of the gizmos on the police cars , BUT
they tell me that my car has RDS, and i need a $150CAN module inorder
to install a deck in my car. And that the airbags wont work, it may
not start, blah blah. Various internet sites say that if an installer
says that, avoid the installer since he doesnt know what he is talking
about. YET, the GM dealerships send everyone to this car audio shop
for anything they need done, since it is the most reputable shop in
the city.

I know best buy will re-route my stock am/fm radio to the trunk for 50
bucks more....which i am fine with (id perfer that route). Gives me a
bit of peace of mind. Everyone says that removing the radio only
effects the chimes. But i havent seen anyone go and slam their cav
into a pole to test if the airbags still work.

So in the end, i fear that my warranty will be lost from GM if the
install is messed up at bestbuy. BUT at least they are a MASSIVE
company that i can go after if something screws me over. On the other
hand, the "good" car audio shop is expected to know their ****, and
they will do a perfect job....but it will cost me $200CAN (150 US)
extra to get it done there.

So what do i do??? i need advice. This stock am/fm radio is driving
me nuts. And i am a bit worried of voiding my warranty on my car
because best buy ****ed up a wire amongest my dash. I aint got much
cash (student), and i got a gift certificate for best buy....so best
buy is looking REAL tempting.

Ever heard of GM hassling someone about their warranty over an
aftermarket deck???

aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh going bonkers!!
