i'm about to get mic pre amps/eq and hesitate between focusrite isa
110 (original or l.e re-issue)and api 512c/550b eq.i've never tried
any of them
so if you had the choice,what would you do ?

they are very different animals. I like the API pre much more than the
focusrite. But I like the focusrite eq more than the 550b.

I'd get the Great River MP2-NV and the EQ2-NV instead.
