I'm recording music from a cassette deck through a Digigram VXpocket V2
sound card onto my hard drive. On a short sample, everything is fine. But a 45-minute cassette side comes out garbled. The file appears to be the right size (roughly 450MB) but the recording sounds chirpy as if it were playing at double speed. The tempo and pitch of the music are normal. Clearly, the problem has to do with the length of the recording, i.e., system resources (Windows XP). I've tried three different recording programs and all produce the same results. I'm baffled. Suggestions would be most appreciated. |
