Does anyone know of a good site to find info on old mics that have
been forgotten? I bought a Telefunken TD33a off of ebay awhile back
and can't find any documentation on it.

Telefunken made a lot of mikes to be sold with dictation machines and
home tape recorders. Does this mike have any signs that it isn't one of
those generally ignorable mikes? For example: has an outboard power
supply, huge magnets inside, requires P48, has professional connectors
on it, etc. etc.?

No, nothing like that. I've suspected that is was sold with a
dictation machine orignialy. So far I've found that it only sounds
good on screaming lead guitars and snare durms for puck rock.

It's an omni dynamic with a DIN plug? Play around with loading... you
might like the top end more if it has a very high-Z load on it.

Anyway, it looks nice on your equipment list, even if it's not useful...
