Hello

Has anyone heard vehicles running the JL 6W0 subwoofers?? They may work well
for my Saab project.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I have heard them, and for their size, I think they do a pretty good job. A
friend of mine is running 6 of them, ported, of a Rockford BD1000. It
sounds pretty nice and gets plenty loud for me.

Have you looked into the Image Dynamics IDQ subs? I've found them far better
when a small enclosure and sound quality are important considerations.

I didn't realize he was looking for a 6" sub..didn't pay attention to the
model there.

The question is..why bother with a midbass driver? An Image Dynamics ID8
works in the same enclosure and will run circles around it.

HI I am winkenstein,
I am running (2) JL 6W0's in the rear 6x9 locations of my Hyundai
Elantra, I used a 6x9 box mounted under the rear deck at each 6W0
location to form an enclosure for each speaker and to seal out any air
spaces to make it tightly sealed I used some real thick foam rubber
(i'm talking 4 inches thick) smushed real tight between the boxes and
the deck itself i mounted the speakers with some 6x9 solid plates with
the mounting hole cut out of it to put the 6" jl subs in (yes, the jl
6W0's are considered true "subs", believe it or not), they are being
powered off the rear channels of a jl 300/4 and they sound phenominal,
they give some amazing low frequencies for being only 6's, i am very
impressed.
