I send out a signal then record the reflection of that signal. The
reflection should always occur at the same time, e.g. 14.2 ms, because the microphone remains the same distance from the object. This is generally the case for four to ten recordings. However, every so often, the reflection time will shift left or right, e.g. 15 ms or 14.0 ms. My understanding is that this is due to some latency in the WDM driver. Is this, in fact, the case? Is there anything I can do to make the recording more consistent? |
