I just got a Tascam DM24 for live use. That has to be the worst manual I've
ever seen. Seems like I've read that Tascam are known for their crappy
manuals. Anyway, I'm getting it set up and have a question. I have
assigned all mic/line inputs to their corresponding channels but some
channels will not come through. Not that it matters, but just for
reference, channels 1-4 and 7 & 8 are not functioning like the rest. I get
nothing on the meters, nothing going to the mains, and nothing to the aux
sends. Everything seems to be routed fine so I thought something was
damaged in the preamps. Patching from the channel inserts into a known
working channel's line in works just fine. What am I missing?

Any other hangups that you have had or tips that you can give me about this
mixer would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to have it up and running by
Sunday morning. Thanks a lot.
