And last night, after 30+ years, I finally got to see the 1st episode.
Not that it makes a whole lot more sense now...... but still in my
top five, along with my #1, "the Avengers" that is also on the BBC
Friday night schedule, and the occasionally humorous "the Saint". I
wish that it was on some other night; Friday is a busy night for
location guys...

Sadly no. He died in the early 80s. He also wrote the theme to Steptoe and
Son, which Pink Floyd borrowed for the main riff in Interstellar Overdrive...
