I record narration for an online courseware production company. I
inherited an Oktava MK-219 from the previous sound person. it has a nice sound if your mouth is lined up DIRECTLY with the diaphragm and you are between 4 and 6 inches away. Anything else, and normal speaking tone is seriously degraded. I imagine it was designed for instruments or sining. I would like to try some condenser mics that can handle normal speaking levels, have good low-end response, and leave the narrator with a little more freedom to move his/her head without ruining the take. Any suggestions in the $150-$200 range? Thanks! - DK |
