I have Reason 2 installed, and it worked fine last time I used it 6 months
ago... now I have another project requiring it, and upon loading it prompts me for the Orkester CD. Once I put that in, it prompts me for the Factory Soundbank CD. I have copies of both in the Reason directory, but it still prompts me for both each time (a major nuissance). How do I tell it to stop doing this? And just use the ones on the HD? They`re taking up 1 gig's worth of space, might as well be for a reason (no pun intended). Anyone know? PS: If this is the wrong forum, my apologies... could you point me in the direction of a more appropriate one? |

You know, the place where you tell Reason where all of your Refills are located. That should do it. Queso |

Have you upgraded your O/S since the last time you used it? Newer
version of Windoze or Mac OS? I think if you make any changes to the O/S it wants you to re-verify that you have the CD's just as a software protection. I don't think there is any way around it. Once you stick the CD's in and it verify's them, it shouldn't ask you for them again unless you change your OS... Did that to me when I upgraded from Mac 10.2 to 10.3. Then hasn't asked for them again. I think... I think... weird...never asked me for them again when i upgraded from 10.2 to 10.3... i would agree with the previous poster: try going into the preferences and identifying the location of the refills in the prefs...should do it. if that doesn't work and your factory sound bank/Orkester refills aren't in the same folder as the app, try moving them there and see if that doesn't clear things up... |
