Default Mechanics of working some at home and some at studio

How hard is it to recall the mixes and add your effects?

It appears they have a delivered mix that is 100 percent free of their
signature sound.

Comments that come to mind:

1) it should have been defined who the producer role belongs to, what
you really complain about is that the engineer you hired took it away
from you rather than implement your vision.

2) dry tracks and tracks with 100 percent effect could have been
provided for mix

3) lending the effects unit in question to the mix down guy and
explaining that the xyz setting of that gizmanifact is your signature
sound on the trynmantophone, and will be used live and is required used
could have been done.

4) make clearer business agreements.

5) if you don't feel right about something 2 hours into it, then stop
then and there and go shop elsewhere and pay - if relevant in the
context, fairness as well as actual business agreement matters - a
reasonable "bail out fee". It is better for you and it is better for the
service provider in question that you part as good friends than as
whatever you did part as, probably neither as friends nor as mutually
recommending each other.

Kind regards
