I realized something the other night when I was putting in a new circuit
breaker in my car. I have a 200 A circuit breaker on the battery in the engine bay and then it goes to 0 gauge wire to another battery in the trunk. Even if the 200A breaker trips there will still be juice running down the 0 gauge wire. Can I just add another circuit breaker in the trunk on the second battery or is the voltage drop of a circuit breaker quite a bit more than a fuse? If it is I will just try to find a cheap 0 gauge fuse holder (yeah right) otherwise I will just add another breaker. The breaker has an AUX and BAT side. on the second battery I just mount it the same as the front correct? BAT to the battery and the AUX side to the main input feed or will this not work? Thanks |

In my experience, fuses tend to be more reliable anyway. But yes, you need
