Default Durabrand MP3 CD Player: Best Encoding Rate / Codec / CDR Brand

Hello, I have recently purchased my 2nd portable Durabrand MP3 discman
from Walmart. It does seem to skip a lot on certain non standard mp3s
(ie 24 bit sample rates).

Since Durabrand seems to be off the grid (no website or detailed
info), I was wondering if anybody has any
experience with what Encoding Rates, MP3 Codecs, and CDR brands work
best with this particular gizmo.

And for the flamers of durabrand here are the reasons I bought it
again:

1. the Headphones are of SUPRISINGLY good quality, really solid bass to
be included with a $30 MP3 / CD player.

2. My last Durabrand took a licking and kept on tickin... I cruely
dropped it countless times from tall precipices and kept it at the
bottom of my backpack and it worked far longer than I would have
expected.

Thanks
