Sorry. I hate to ask for opinions on this but I can't make up my mind
and I don't have the funds to try it both ways right now. I currently own one set of Infinity Perfect 6.1s that I will be installing in the front doors of a 98 Ford ZX2 with the help of custom door pods. What I would like to have advice on is whether I should (1) add an additional set of 6.1s using the included crossovers (3500hz high/low) and high passed at 80hz from the head unit or (2) add a pair of 8" Kicker SSMB8 midbass and high pass them from the head unit at 50hz (or not at all). I will not have rear speakers but I will have (2) Infinity Perfect 12.1d subs in sealed boxes. I typically listen to Metal/Hard Rock/Adult Alternative but I listen to a variety of music from time to time. Any advice would be appreciated (including crossover points) and please don't bother flaming the brands. We should all be tired of the "This brand is better than that brand" ****ing contests by now. |
