I'd gone up to Dublin (Ireland, not California) for Thanksgiving weekend and
on the way back into the United States, the immigration officer at SFO asked
me what I thought of George W.

Being the good sammaritan I refrained from answering, and after about 5
seconds of "umms" and "errs" I was told that I need not answer if I don't
want to.

Still, I was left wondering whether the above exchange occurred within the
confines of the law.
