Default Krell voltage conversion + chip mod??

Hi

Seeking help to convert my KAV-400Xi from US standard 110V/60Hz to Europeam
230V/50Hz.

And this type of conversion in general....

Tom,

I saw a note a while ago about the conversion for someone who went to
Australia. It was a minor job - changing the transformer's tapping from
110v to 220v, and he gave the technician ~$30.

However, I've heard that Krell now put additional circuitry in their
equipment to prevent people from doing exactly that. I know that the
Reference 64 DAC doesn't work with just a tapping change and would
require a microprocessor change too.

Drop me a note if you find useful leads in the voltage conversion - I
have a KSA-200S which I plan to convert to 220v later.

Best,
- yann
