just won a CC-52 five disc Cd player on ebay. I thought it was the
same as the single CD-52 which I have .The CC is from Japan and the
CD from Belgium

the CC is a nice bitstream unit BUT-it does not play 80 minute CDr-s
as does the CD


Is this because Marantz hard coded something instead of soft coded it.
Did other companies have this problem?

As a mac programmer, we were always warned to soft code or our
software was guaranteed to break. I followed the rules and no matter
what apple did my software never broke

I guess for 66 bucks shipping included I did not do too bad

BTW when did 80 minute blanks show up
