Default Clarion Decks

I'm just wondering what the general view on Clarion headunits is? (ie:
good, bad, inbetween?)

I bought a Clarion HU a couple weeks ago and am very pleased, especially
with the MP3 support and various display/folder options it has for MP3/WMA
files.

Thanks.

20 some years ago they were junk. 12 years ago they won head unit of the
year award from one of the mags. Just so happens I had installed that
same unit a few months prior and was astounded by its performance. It
picked up stations that my previous unit wouldn't and brought them in
clear to boot. CD section was awesome. I added an a/d/s 20w RMS 4
channel amp in which provided incredible cleanliness (Class A) and very
loud (Class A will surprise you when your used to Class AB or B amps)
and into Infinity Kappa 6x9's in the rear and RS separates in the front.
The Kappas were great. Best system I ever heard. Smooth, clean, clear
and very dynamic with the system integrating the various components
perfectly, something today's bass heads probably don't understand. The
system would play any music style with ease. I would love to find that
quality system again.
