Typically the mic input is mono, and has poorer sound quality than one would expect from a line input on the same card, were that card to actually have a line input. There is no line in on the sound card, only a line out ,speaker outputs and the mike plug. If you are interested in sound quality, you might want to replace the sound card. Good, relatively cheap widely available sound cards for LP taping include the Sound Blaster Audigy OEM and the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz. Here's some Audigy offers with bottom prices: http://www.estoretogo.com/showitem.asp?item=SB-CRSB0160 http://www.adamant.com/mainindex.asp?PrW=1 http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?p=SCSB0162VP&c=pw |
