DVD player problems
OK, I know this video and not audio, but I figure someone here might
be able to help. I have a fairly new DVD player that all the sudden stopped working right. No matter what disc I try to play, even new ones without any scrathes, it will "freeze" for a few seconds, then play again, over and over, until finally it says "check disc" and gives an error number indicating that the disc is scratched or dirty. It seems to do that at around 35:00 minutes into the disc. I've used canned air and a DVD cleaner, but it still does it. I'm just wondering what else I can do if anything. If I took the lid off, what would I look for as far as cleaning it? |

Hi,
It might be a problem with "the magic eye". It could either be misaligned, dirty, or completely out of whack. It's not that expensive to replace, although being fairly new it's hopefuly still under warranty. Unless you know what you're doing... The laser system is pretty sensitive. fear wrote: OK, I know this video and not audio, but I figure someone here might be able to help. DVD pickups die like flies. Hopefully it's new enough to return it or get it
replaced under warranty. Mark Z. "fear" wrote in message ... OK, I know this video and not audio, but I figure someone here might be able to help.
