Default It's official - recount is undrerway in Ohio.

http://www.democracynow.org/article..../11/16/1610252

check about 3/4 the way down today's news(though all of the
resignations are also a good bit of luck.

It seems as if the Greens made good on their promise - and
so far, at least one local race has been overturned due
to an examination of the votes.

It's oficially hit the fan. I couldn't be happier to
see the joke that our voting system is take some flak
and close examination. It's been hopelessly corrupt
for decades.

Close races and recounts, especially in local elections,
is a fairly common and expected result in any election system.

I didn't know there was such a thing. Can I get one?

All of them? Do you really think Condy Rice will be an improvement over Colin
Powell?

Powell ultimately left because no one would listen to him, and he was shut out
of the inner circle. He was the voice of reason in many cases. Rice is
nothing but a yes-(wo)man.

Well, Rice is more likely to get indicted and removed from power
in her new position, so in a round-about way, yes.

You can, but it will cost you your soul.

It's a shame to see such a decent man have to endure that.
I see no problem with him fleeing the ship before it sinks,
taking the vermin with it. That he waited this long - well,
he's far more patient than most people I know.

Sorry, Ope, he didn't flee the ship - he was made to walk the plank:

Yeah, like I've had luck with that one.

Interesting way to look at it. Now if we could only do the same thing with her
boss.

I wouldn't attach too much validity to that news source, containing as
it does no provenance to the original source of the info.

Powell could have quit at any time during Bush's first term. But if
he had, it would have been a slap in the face to the
Commander-in-Chief, and would have effectively ended Powell's career
in the Republican party.

If the American people had elected Kerry, it would have solved his
problem immediately. We didn't, and he had to resign.

That is merely crap made up to save face. It was clear as
long as a year ago that he was fed up with Bush.

If you say so. BTW, the Secretary of Defense was heard chortling in the
background "Yo-ho-ho and a bottle of Rummy!"
