Default Stern Accuses FCC Chair Powell of Nepotism

This is vaguely audio-related since it ties into censorship and
corporate consolidation of radio. It also suggests an interesting
connection between U.S. foreign policy and cultural politics. I also
think of Howard Stern as kind of a rock star version of the talk radio
host.

Apparently Stern has accused FCC Chairman Michael Powell of getting
his job because his father is Colin Powell. Secretary Powell has
denied the claim. Because of repeated fines by the FCC, Stern is
leaving ClearChannel for satellite radio:

automatically minister of the poesy. )

Howard should have also mentioned that the FCC is another one of those
things that government created that has no reason to exist.

He did run as a Libertarian, no?

His father didn't give him the job, Bush did.

And Dubya's father didn't get him the Texas Air Reserve posting, a
"family friend" did.

Dubya is a Yale and Harvard graduate. He got in on his own merit to the
Texas Air National Guard.

Don't believe that for a minute. The congressman who pulled the strings
told his story on national TV.

Fake Schiz? Dubya went to Harvard after TANG.

And being a Rich White Boy (RWB) was a part of that merit. In the
meantime the Black men were in the jungle with bullets flying by their
heads. There's nothing on paper (makes it easily deniable) but Black
Republicans are as rare as hen's teeth, so they are treated like
royalty. OF COURSE Powell's family reap the benefits of the Bush
Dynasty.

By what reason do you think the FCC has no reason to exist? It is certainly
one of the most important agencies in government, and absolutely an area
that warrants government regulation. (Except if you are an abusive FCC
Chairman, as is Powell) and allow the propaganda spread by Sinclair to air
on public airwaves.

No one asks me of course, but I wouldn't have any problem with Powell
for president, despite that he's a Republican.
IMO, he's one of the few with at least a working brain and some
honesty/integrity. ( Unless I missed something on the news).

I too think he would have been a good prez. A modern day Eisenhower.
His wife, however, was concerned with the high likelihood of
assasination.
