Default Head-fi.org - what's the deal?

I e-mailed them twice but got no response. I'm trying to obtain a
membership. If any head-fi members read this please let me know how I can
join. Thanks.

What do you mean "membership"? If you want to post to head-fi just
register with a posting name etc.

Nope. I am unable to post or pm or e-mail or use any of the features,
because my account does not have those privledges. I figured out how to
contribute however and am awaiting for my account to be 'activated.'

I'm still confused. How do you "contribute" without being able to
post? And why does your "account" not have certain "privileges". All I
did was register and start posting.

What should I do? I paid them my money and I still can't post.

Hmm... still not luck it seems:

Asterix, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due
to one of several reasons:

1.. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this
page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative
features or some other privileged system?
2.. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your
account, or it may be awaiting activation.

I have no idea. I thought that they made the boards private.

Well, fortunately I got a response in the e-mail from Jude who explained I
didn't have to pay for the ability to post, etc. I think he said my account
would be activated in 24-48 hours.
