May I ask a polite question, Bruce? Why do you post so far down the

While we're digging at petty details, why don't you spend $30 (U.S.) and
get the real version of the shareware you're using?

Be thankful I didn't. During one of your last abusive, potty mouth
periods I searched in vain for a killfile only to discover Free Agent
doesn't have one. Still, there's always the manual alternative.

The blank space is often the most important part of Richman's messages. ;-)

Obscure audio reference:
As Miles Davis always said: "it's not the notes I play, it's the pause
between them"......... ;-)

Could well be a quote from Arthur Schnabel.

True... but I've always found this "rhythmician's" point of view a little
bit reductionist.

Could well be a quote from Arthur Schnabel.

Note, Sander, that RAO's resident Hamas sympathizer and proven cretin engaged
in an unprovoked personal attack. So now you know why it's not worth while to
refrain from dumping on him. He deserves it. Garbage deserves to be treated
for what it is, so I'll do so in the future.

The notes I handle no better than many pianists. But the pauses between
the notes - ah, that is where the art resides! ~Artur Schnabel

That's the one, yes.
I didn't have my citations book handy.

This needs to be translated into 'borg-speak for the benefit of our
music-challenged brethren. First, the premises: Although one pause might
seem, subjectively, to be shorter or longer than another pause, the exact
lengths of time encompassed by the various pauses are not known to any
degree of precision. Furthermore, if Mister Schnabel, or any pianist who
can get the job done, did in fact get the job done several different times
so as to constitute a statistically meaningful sample of jobs, it is not
known how much congruence would exist between the iterations of the job(s)
in question(s). Therefore Mr. doeWeil its like you think we should just
take you at your, word that differences exist? Hardly Mr. de Well. Dream
on, again, loT"s. LOL! ROFFMALALAMOO!

There's another good one attributed to Schabel, possibly apocryphal,
about recording:

When a representative of the Duo-Art piano company proudly told him that
their player piano was able to reproduce 16 distinct levels of dynamics,
Schnabel dryly replied, "That's unfortunate, because I play with 17."

End quote.

LOL!!!!!!!!
I once managed to **** off a SET aficionado with such a comment.
He told me he had built an Ongaku clone for the fraction of the cost
of a real one, and it would put out even more power, namely 30 watts.
I replied: "That's too bad, your speakers need at least35 watts".

Naturally, I was thrown out of the house.

I don't like SETAs, note.

BTW Devil, that Circlotron isn't going to work well. Oscillating all
over the place. Better not post that boat yet.

Turn failure into success: Tell folks it's a tone generator. Until you
get it to work properly.

Even better: I'll turn it into a pink noise generator.
Tommy Nousaine and the entire SWMWTMSTWMSTMSWTSMSTWS would be very
interested.
