Actually I think there is a plan to partially privatize social
security. And damn good thing there is as there is no way baby
boomers can receive the current benefits. Its time to phase out
social security and remove the obligation from the backs of future
generations. Kerry's statement that he won't decrease benefits, won't
change the retirement age, and won't increase taxes is just hollow
rhetoric ignoring the facts.

Since the Social Security trust fund is not funded our unfunded
benefit obligations are more than the net worth of the United States.
This scenario is very similar to what the city of San Diego pulled
with its pension fund.

I also have to wonder if the whole sleazy unfunded benefits isn't
behind our ridiculous open door immigration policy. Our federal
government is a giant ponzi scheme demanding ever larger numbers of
patsis and our citizens figured out they can't afford kids and their
tax bill which threatens to bring the scheme crashing down. Thank god
for Mexican immigrants to drive our expanding consumer driven economy.
