I did a superficial evaluation of one and it looked like a joke. One of the main reasons that seniors join HMOs and PPOs is because of prescription drug coverage. Do you know what kind of discount the plans get compared to individuals? I've seen a few of those ads too. They seem to be around 10 to 20% or so, on average. Importation of prescription drugs from Canada is probably a better means of getting lower prices, but of course Bush and his pharmaceutical company-loving cronies, are trying to block that approach too.
