Default take off Toyota Sienna door panels -- how???

Hi,
I would like to take off the door panels so I can dynamat and also install
the new components that I just got.
1. How would I take off the Toyota Sienna door panels
2. Should I run new wires for the amp or just use the factory wires?

There are snaps that run along the bottom of the door, which just pop out.
BUT, before you do that, remove the armrest top section which will reveal
screws. There is also a screw behind a trim piece (size of a nickel) that is
on the mid to upper left side of the door (looking at it from inside,
passenger door). The armrest top is a little tricky to pop out, just be
careful not to break the snaps holding it in place. Once you have all the
snaps off and screws out, just lift and separate the panel from the window
sill and disconnect the courtesy light and window/door wiring. I also have a
1999 Sienna, great van for a good system, nicely insulated and very tubular.
I don't know what you have for a sub, but I have a Kicker L7 that is in a 1
1/2 cubic foot box, and if I corner load it in the back, the bass is insane.
If you have any more questions about this van, let me know, I 've pretty
much stripped mine down and back up again (interior).

I forgot there are also screws in the door opener that need to be removed,
including the door opener housing as well. My email address is

Thanks a million for your advice in the forum. You're right, the Sienna is
an excellent vehicle for installing a good system. I have a 4-channel MTX
amp and sub from my previous vehicle that I'm reusing. Also getting a new
Sony head unit that does mp3. Bought some Infinity 6 1/2 "reference 6000cs"
components for the front and 6 3/4 Kappa 2-ways for the mid-panel.
Now for my questions:

1. Specifically with respect to the armrest top removal. You're talking
about the little plastic piece that houses the power window and power
doorlock mechanism right? That does seem very delicate. Should I use
something with a wide flat rigid surface to pry it out? Or do I need to
press on some clips under it to take it out? Once that's out, you're saying
there are screws under it as well??

2. I'd like to take off the panels of the front doors (which I have to
anyway to install the components and thanks to you, now I can) but also take
off the mid-panels that house the rear speakers. Then I'd like to dynamat
those areas. I am going to use "peel and seal" instead of dynamat -- it's a
roofing product in case you haven't heard of it and costs about 25% of
dynamat. Would you recommend dynamatting the metal of the vehicle and also
the plastic panels themselves? What else do you recommend I soundproof?

3. I'd also like to "peel and seal" the rear hatch door because my sub will
be back there (10" MTX dual-voice housed in a trapezoid 1 1/2 foot cubic
(approx) ported box).

4. I plan on installing the amp under the second row driver-side seat (mine
fits perfectly there). Do you know of a good way to get the amp power wire
through the firewall? It was kind of hard to see back there.

5. Speaker wires for my components: Should/can I reuse the factory wiring?
The speakers came with their own crossovers, so it seems like I will have to
do some splicing and so might shy away from that anyway. In that case, I'd
probably go with new wiring for the front components anyway. My concern
here is noise from the power cable, any ideas on routing the wires to the
speakers and placement of the independent crossovers?
