Default Kudos to the NY Times

http://www.nytimes.com/2004/09/22/opinion/22safi.html

Nice op-ed.

One question I don't see getting asked enough is the logical response
to CBS statement that Burkett did not contact them, they contacted
Burkett.

The question is why? Who directed CBS to Burkett?

Meanwhile in Afghanistan:

"Even though NATO has taken over the peacekeeping mission in
Afghanistan, it has not been able to meet troop levels promised by its
members. As a result, about 80% of the country has no international
protection. The NATO Secretary-General, Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, has
warned that without greater resolve from its members, the alliance
risks failing in its first mission outside of Europe."

You and your country are pathetic.

Note that the FIAS is composed of 37 countries :
Afghanistan, Albanie, Allemagne, Azerbaïdjan, Belgique, Bulgarie, Canada,
Croatie, Danemark, Espagne, Estonie, Etats-Unis, Finlande, France,
Grande-Bretagne, Grèce, Hongrie, Islande, Irlande, Italie, Lettonie,
Lithuanie, Luxembourg, Macédoine, Norvège, Nouvelle-Zélande, Pays-Bas,
Pologne, Portugal, République Tchèque, Roumanie, Slovaquie, Slovénie
Suède, Suisse et la Turquie.

This is a total of 6 312 soldiers on this number 530 are Frenchs (8.4%).

and we are now at about 18,000 and rising. Is your country's effort and
capability really only 3% of the U.S.?

I stand behind my pathetic statement.

Oh, you know that you are pathetic ? It's a good begining. ;-)
Why don't you ask to the other NATO countries ? RAO is a public tribune.
The FIAS is composed of 37 countries as detailled above.
