Default Subwoofer

I have a Rel Strata 2 that was hit by lightning. The board is burnt
out and useless but the box and speaker are fine. Rel don't make the
boards anymore. I don't want to bin it but can't afford to spend much
on it. Any ideas of how I can get it active again cheaply, with UK
parts ie 240v, OR, and this might sound a bit daft, can I just connect
it up as a passive sub as it is?
Thanks, Danny

Why not see if Hypex in the Netherlands has an amp that will fit?

No problem, I have the HS200 powering the Adire Shiva 12" woofer available
through www.adireaudio.com.

I'm planning to upgrade to a sonotube cabinet of 142 liters which will take
the bass down to 17.8 Hz anechoic or 16.3 in room according to Adire. After
reading up on the HS200 it seems I don't need to worry about an amp that
isn't high passed, since this one will get down to 14Hz with the right
driver/box combination.

From the info at the Hypex site, this shouldn't be a problem.
Nice box!
