Will all 5 speakers on a 5.1ch surround sound system be put to use no matter
the audio source e.g radio or cassette etc. or is it only if the audio source is capable of 5.1ch sound e.g. DVD's? |

Depends on the features on the surround system and how you prefer to use them. On many systems you could play the 5.1 as 5.1 and exploit all 6 speakers, in accordance with the recording. You could exploit all 5.1 speakers with stereo program material using Dolby Pro Logic mode. You can usually also have stereo program material as 2-channel stereo. |
