Default CD Player Recommendation

Hey, it's been a while since I've attempted to build a system, but I
might give it a try! Question.... I'm looking for a head unit that
has a great CD player, very little bells and whistles, has 2 (pairs)
of line outs, NO amplification, and a line input for my Ipod. Again
music quality if number one, no need for remotes, dsp, video, etc, etc.
What is considered head of the class these days? Any suggestions on a
particular model?......Thanks.......true old school guy!

Nakamichi CD-700. No bells and whistles. Arguably one of the best-sounding
CD players ever made.

What's more likely? That an all-powerful mysterious god created the
universe and then decided not to give any proof of his existence? Or, that
he simply doesn't exist at all? And that we created him so that we wouldn't
have to feel so small and alone. -Eleanor Arroway, Contact

Eclipse CD8443, I can't reccomend it enough. It sounds *fantastic*, and offers
great useability/adjustibility.
