Hi folks... new to the group.
I have a '93 Nissan Altima and would like to install a Panasonic CQ-C1300. This is a budget job and I'm not really interested in turning the car into a rolling sound studio.... I just want to be able to play MP3 CDs. My questions a - Will I require anything special to mount this unit in place of the stock cassette player (special brackets, re-work of any plastic moulding, etc)? - The car has a power antenna, will the Panasonic unit control that the same way as the stock radio (when the radio portion is on, the antenna extends itself, but when the tape is playing, the antenna retracts.?.... I'm hoping it will work the sane way when switching between radio and CD in the new unit) - I'd like to just keep the 4 original speakers that are in the car, will I need anything special to adapt the wiring for this? Thanks all. I value the expertise that can be found in news groups like this. P |
