I recently have been auditioning the following speakers for
upcoming product-review reports: Axiom M22ti satellite systems, with EP-175 sub. Hsu Ventriloquist system, with STF-1 sub. Tyler Acoustics Monitor systems. Anyone reading this had any experience with these systems? Also, within the past few months I have reviewed the following systems and published reports: EOSS Musico sub/sat system. NHT M6/W1 sub/sat system. Eminent Technology LTF-VIII systems. Polk LSi-25 systems. Dunlavy Cantata systems. Waveform MC sub/sat system. Triad Silver sub/sat system (free-standing version). Ascend Acoustics CBM-170 systems, with optional Hsu sub. While these reviews are in print, with some of them having been that way for some time, I would be curious about the experiences others have had with these speakers. Also, if you read any of these reviews I would be happy to read what you thought of them. In addition, I printed a series of response curves and explanations of those curves and the way I made them in issue 94 and 95 of The Sensible Sound and would love to get some feedback here concerning those articles. All the speakers mentioned are of merchantable quality. Some of the speakers have been reviewed by a guy called Howard Ferstler who occasionally posts here. I must caution you though - his opinions are not held in very high esteem by the participants of the group... You forgot to say, "because they are jerks." Howard Ferstler |

The speakers you listed are **** compared to these. I'd like to hear your opinions on THESE speakers. Boon |

However, I have reviewed enough systems by now to safely state that some of the systems in my list are equal to anything you have ever listened to. Also, some of the cheaper ones (often quite cheap) were competitive with some of the expensive versions, at least if a good, but not necessary expensive, subwoofer was thrown in. Howard Ferstler |

Thanks for the tip! BTW, haven't looked lately, but the price of the system (not including the sub) was about $200 at a CompUSA store. I think Hsu sells it direct for that price. The low price and small size are plenty appealing to me, although I'm leery of loudspeakers that don't have real tweeters, just "full range" drivers. But the system's probably plenty good enough for watching TV and video. I'd be more concerned about music listening. I'll be watching for your review! Howard Ferstler |

It is substantially longer than the S&V review, and also includes a room-response curve. The system is actually quite good for serious musical work. Howard Ferstler |
