After having not used my Tascam 38 reel to reel machine for a few
years, I tried it today.

I cannot get a signal to the tape.
The meters on the 38 are jumping as I am recording but there is no
sound or meter movement when I play it back.
Does anyone have any idea what is wrong? This machine doesn't have
many hours on it and I'm in a crunch for a sountrack demo I was
going to use it for.
