I searched through the archives via Google, but could not find an answer to
this. Hopefully the group can provide. Listening to music on my PC, is there an easy way to set the Musicmatch Jukebox equalizer for proper headphone output at the line-out port? Lately I have been plugging headphones into the PC's line-out. The sound is OK, but I wouldn't be reading rec.audio.tech if I were not picky. |

Most headphones require some amplification over line out levels for optimum results. Also there is an impedance matching issue (headphones are typically much lower impedance). Neither of these is software correctable. |

The sound on my headphones from the PC is quite loud.
Maybe the sound card is actually headphone or speaker output? I would think not, I get the same result from three sound cards - motherboard audio plus two PCI cards. "Mark A" wrote in message ... If you're picky, send Line Out to what it's designed to feed - Line In on an amplifier. Connect your headphones to that. Line Out will often get some sort of sound from 'phones, but it's a definite mismatch of both level and impedance. |
