Repairs for a Pioneer SX 1980

I own a Pioneer SX 1980 reciever and I love it, but his has one little
problem I would like to fix. Every so often the sound cuts in and out
and it sounds like static for a few seconds. If I jog the switches I
can get the sound back to normal. If anyone knows how to fix it I
would appreciate some information.
