I recently installed a new, second machine with a
new, high-speed CD-RW drive. I had to download an update from Nero to both recognize and burn on this drive, but that works fine now. Problem is, I can't play nor rip audio tracks from a CD in this drive. My copy of MusicMatch finds the CD and lists the tracks correctly, but after I rip a track, there's no audio there. Got a big file, but no sound. Neither the CD-Player nor the Media Player software can play off a CD in this drive either. What are my options? I can always install an older CD-ROM drive to rip and play CDs, and use the burner just for burning, I suppose. What else might I do? Are there software updates for these programs to recognize fast drives? chuck |
