It seems my last post was eaten by my server so here goes again.
I'm bringing a Dynaco ST-70 back to life. I have all the required manuals and technical papers that include very specific methods to check and calibrate the amp. The problem is that nowhere in the instructions do they mention applying a load to the speaker terminals when setting up the amp. That includes tests with full power and all tubes installed. Am I missing something? A few years of guitar amp tweaking have taught me that this is not proper practice. Please help a noobie to home audio. -- John :::::::::: "The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench; a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs.
