Yeah John, I'm with you...the Orion Blue Book is often "out to lunch" in their valuations of gear. Real world prices are more like $800-1200 depending on condition. SDAs are great speakers. I have purchased from the seller on eBay...can recommend him. He also has a good eBay feedback profile (100% positives)....check it out. NO AFFILIATION...just a satisfied customer from earlier in the year.
