It's a bargain if you don't have it and you can't get anyone to give
it to you (which is in essence what you're asking).

If you need an editing program, does it have to be Sound Forge? There

As an audio software engineer with a family to support I can tell you
right now why its so expensive. Because people steal software.
Stealing makes it very very cost prohibitive to develop plug ins. If
you think its too expensive by all means don't buy it, and you may
even want to let the company know the price is too high.

But just so you know, if you use the software, paying for it is not
optional (unless specified by the liscence agreement). And whether or
not you see it this way, stealing software is the equivalent of
walking into a music store and grabbing a mic off the shelf and
walking out.

Its that simple.

soundforge 7.0...it comes w/ noise reduction 2.0 and cd architecht....go to
www.froogle.com type in, "Soundforge 7.0 academic" and see what pops up...and
fine someone w/ a student ID...
